D&D Online Went KaBoom

Since the world blipped with that virus which has hopefully disappeared for good, online games have become massively popular. D&D Online was already a growing medium for entertainment with virtual tabletop games hosted on sites like Roll20, Discord and Foundry VTT. The online market for D&D Online has exploded.

Before the pandemic, all of Rolldark’s games were hosted in person in local pubs to each of our then London compass point DMs. We had Professional Dungeon Masters in every corner of London. We used to be called London Dungeon Masters before seeing the light and moving into our brand, now known as Rolldark. It took a virus and lockdown for us to first introduce D&D online as an option to our growing player network. But… it was amazing that we did!

Since the pandemic, Rolldark has become a nationwide business, with professional Dungeon Masters running D&D Online games catering to nearly every type of gamer. We have D&D online games perfect for beginners and seasoned games to boot for those D&Ders with a bit more experience. Running the games of D&D Online is also made all the better as you can use virtual table tabletop software such as Foundry VTT or Roll20 to really bring your games to life and replace some of that unique in-person immersion you might expect from a face-to-face game.

The maps you can use in D&D Online games are some of the best you’ll ever see, with plenty of Patrons set up now by artists who will happily give you their maps to use in exchange for a small monthly subscription.

There are also sites such as Inkarnate that allow Professional Dungeon Masters to create their maps for D&D Online games. What's more, the software doesnt expect you to be excellent at map creation. All you gotta do is a place where you want what build etc., and go from there…. Genius.

The support for the online game of D&D is growing weekly. You’ll find discord servers dedicated to D&D Online and many Instagram accounts that give you daily tips and tricks. There is also Youtube with over a thousand D&D Online videos you can watch for help and guidance.
