It’s Halloween night, 1899, & things are about to get bloody…
For the past 4 years, 100,000 prospectors went up to the Klondike region of Yukon, located NW Canada, & brought back thousands of dollars (worth millions in today’s currency) worth of gold from the mountains. Now that gold is starting to make its way down to the US, & into the hands of those who will use its influence for evil to come.
Now wouldn’t that gold be better in someone else’s hands, your hands perhaps? Luckily for you, you have a few tricks up your sleeve. You’ve been blessed by a higher (or lower depending on belief) power. This power will let you carve through dozens like they were butter, & the sight of their blood will only fuel your path to fortune.
To get to the gold you’ll be boarding a moving train guarded by measly military men. But their guns will bounce off your skin like pebbles. Their blades will feel blunt even at your throat. Just one of you has the power to tear this train off its tracks, so just imagine what 4, 5, even 6 of you can do!
Don’t lose your heads though. Many bandits would turn rogue at the site of gold & stab their companions in the back for the sake of a larger slice of the pie. But you’re all united in your power & goal… right?
This one shot will be played using the Vampire: The Masquerade RPG system. It will cater to players both experienced & new to the game, with help from your GM in creating a character & getting comfortable with the rules beforehand.
The game will be held online via Discord, with interactive maps on Roll20. This one-shot will have a maximum of 6 players & doubling up on vampire “clans” is more than acceptable. The game won’t focus so much on the Masquerade & lore of the system itself, just serving as a gateway to a good fun hack n slash!!
